Are You Ready For Moving Day?
We tell this vital piece of information to all our clients: how well prepared you are before we arrive determines everything.
The estimate we give you at the start of the move can’t be accurate if you are not prepared.
Here’s three ways to know if you’re ready for us on the big day.
Are you Packed and Prepped?
To save you stress on the day of, the majority of your packing and prep should be complete the day before the move. We understand life gets busy and packing is not everyone’s favourite pastime, so let us do it for you!
Beyond simply packing we can also prep your home for the move. Anything with drawers will be pre-shrink wrapped, all shelves will be removed and taped together, and all boxes will be stacked by the front door ready to go. The cost per hour is the same as moving plus the cost of supplies. If you need just a little help, we also offer basic packing and prep services for just the kitchen – typically the trickiest room to pack.
Are You Accessible?
Our parking access, the size and speed of your elevators, the distance from truck to your front door, even staircases can all effect the time it takes us to get the job done. The better informed we are about our access, the easier it will be to estimate the time it will take, and will ensure the correct amount of guys arrive on your moving day.
Is Your Parking Reserved?
If you live in the city, chances are parking may be an issue. You can contact your local City Hall (call 311) and have parking reserved for the day of your move. Note: this must be done at least 5 business days in advance. We highly recommend you set a reminder to do this, as it will ensure your moving day starts smoothly.
Bottom line: the more prepared you are, the faster the move goes and the more money you can save.
